Six Senses Maxwell, Singapore (October 2018)
This new hotel will join the Six Senses Duxton hotel that opened earlier this year. The diverse characteristics have been carefully conserved and the property features 138 guestrooms and suites, a Six Senses Spa, outdoor lap pool, Champagne bar and lounge, whiskey bar, boardroom and club lounge. Colonial meets modern Europe in the restaurant, where the mouthwateringly indulgent yet health-full menus represent the brand's pioneering approach to fresh, local and seasonal food and drink. A verandah lined with lush tropical foliage follows the length of the building is the ideal spot to meet for refreshments and alfresco dining. Interior design is by French architect and designer Jacques Garcia, and reflects the authentic decor and furnishings of the era in which it was built, but with a stylish modern twist. Eat With Six Senses
As part of its emphasis on wellness, Eat With Six Senses represents another pillar of the Six Senses Integrated Wellness philosophy and approach to food and drink. It is based on the guiding principles of natural ingredients, local and sustainable, and less is more, helping guests to reconnect with food safe in the knowledge that it's good for them, and good for the world around them. Six Senses chooses a cleaner and simpler approach to preparation, focusing on quality, balance and fresh whole food made from scratch. Produce that has traveled a long distance is often gassed, irradiated and preserved with wax or exposed to toxic packaging. Chefs have eliminated flavor enhancers, lectins, lactose, gluten and sugar, instead choosing the ingredients and preparation methods that promote a healthy microbiome to offer better digestion and absorption of nutrients while boosting the immune system.

Foods are local and sustainable. Each Six Senses resort is reinforcing its relationships with local farmers, producers and suppliers, who are committed to responsible sourcing and seasonality. By working closely with local producers, Six Senses is assuring that ethical practices in raising animals and avoiding at-risk species are adhered to. Even closer to home, each Six Senses resort cultivates its own organic vegetable garden, one property already has its own free-range chicken farm to supply fresh eggs and two resorts have established mushroom huts. At Six Senses, the energy footprint of importing branded drinking water has been eliminated with each resort having its own reverse osmosis plant to produce top quality still and sparkling mineralized water, which is provided to guests in reusable glass bottles.

Six Senses Launches Holistic Anti Aging Clinic
Look and feel 10 years younger thanks to a personalized care plan that addresses the factors that adversely impact skin health at Six Senses Holistic Anti-Aging Clinic. Each program starts with an advanced skin analysis, wellness screening, sleep analysis and a consultation to analyze and discuss these lifestyle factors. The results allow Six Senses wellness experts to incorporate a personalized skin treatment plan using advanced ingredients and equipment, nutrition, supplements, treatments, movement and mindfulness. A recommendation on supplements, as well as a homecare program is an integral part of the clinic to banish premature aging as well as common skin problems such as acne and dry or oily skin. An important component that complements the inside-out beauty approach, is the notion of brain beauty. That's why the clinic also looks at the brain-skin connection through our perception of beauty and how we can become more confident in it.

Dr. Claudia Aguirre has joined the Six Senses Wellness Board to support the launch of the Holistic Anti-Aging Clinic. Neuroscientist, mind-body expert, TEDx speaker and regular TED Ed educator, Dr. Aguirre specializes in the connection between the brain and the skin, consulting internationally in the health and wellness industries. "What we are doing with Six Senses is a real opportunity to help people look and feel younger from the inside out," explains Dr. Aguirre. Holistic Anti-Aging Clinic is open at Six Senses Kaplankaya in Turkey and will be introduced later across selected Six Senses spas.
